A CIELO ABIERTO: MÉXICO FEMINICIDA Y TRANSFEMINICIDA
Un globo dirigible con los mensajes, “México feminicida” y “México transfeminicida” acompaña al contingente de la marcha del 8M en el año 2022 en Guadalajara en protesta ante el brutal incremento de violencia de género en el estado y ante la inacción y negligencia por parte de las autoridades. Jalisco se encuentra entre los primeros lugares a nivel nacional en índice de feminicidios y el 90% de los casos quedan impunes. Así mismo, los crímenes de odio por preferencia sexual e identidad de género siguen en aumento y ni siquiera son reconocidos por el estado. A México le importan tan poco los cuerpos feminizados que durante el año 2021 se reportó la cifra más alta de feminicidios en el país desde que comenzaron los registros en 2015: 11 mujeres y niñas asesinadas diariamente.
A cielo abierto llamamos a la lucha y a la solidaridad y gritamos que estamos más vivas y presentes que nunca y que moveremos cielo, mar y tierra hasta que podamos vivir libres de violencias.

A remote-control blimp with the messages “Femicide Mexico” and “Transfemicide Mexico” accompanied the 8M Women’s March contingent in the city of Guadalajara, Mexico, as a denounce of the brutal increase in gender violence in the state of Jalisco and the authorities lack of action. Artist Kiyo Gutiérrez took the sky as a stage to demand justice and to express the dimension of the crisis that Mexican women are facing today. Jalisco is among the states with the highest numbers of femicides in Mexico, with an impunity rate of 90%. Likewise, hate crimes due to sexual preference and gender identity are on the rise and are not even recognized by the state. Mexico cares so little for feminized bodies, that during 2021, the highest femicide rate in the country was registered: 11 women and girls were murdered every day.
From the heights, we make a call to action and solidarity, and we shout that we are more alive and present than ever. We will keep on moving the sky and the earth until we can live a life free from violence.
