Una habitación propia (A room of one’s own) offers refugee to the native pollinator’s population of the city. It’s a ceramic structure with a cavity at the nipple level, as a tunnel that provides resting and nesting space for different kinds of pollinators. Species particularly vulnerable like solitary bees, can settle to develop, reproduce or protect themselves against cold in a quiet safe space. Females usually create nests in hollow stems or tubular holes in trees, stones and clay walls, as well as artificial refugees with these characteristics. The breast-refugee favors pollination and encourages urban biodiversity. It invites you to consider our garden spaces as powerful places of encounters between insects and human beings, where curiosity, affects, responsibility ethics and a conservation desire can flourish.
