Tierra mojada, audio piece, 12:28 min. 2020. Created as part of the project "El libro vivo sobre la salud" by Paos Gallery, curated by Lorena Peña Brito. Photography by Pistor Orendain.

Tierra Mojada (wet soil) is an audio meditative ritual experience that invites us to reconnect with and reimagine our relationship to the body, to cycles, to water, and to planet Earth. It is a space to explore and awaken our ethical, aesthetic, bodily, and psychic sensitivity toward and with the elements and creatures that co-inhabit the Earth.

Conceived in times of pandemic and radical ecological change, the piece invites us to let our senses of possibility and creative depth flow, and to reposition ourselves as part of nature through deep listening and liquid imagination. These evocative practices cultivate contact and healing for the complex emotions that overwhelm us, and urge us to feel, reflect, speak, and act in response to the challenges of the current planetary crisis.
